Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data may be processed when gx-code.ch is used, why it is processed and how long it is retained.

Scope
This policy applies to gx-code.ch, its French and English pages, and messages sent to GX Code. It also covers audience measurement performed with GX Analytics, a private tool developed and operated by GX Code for its own products.
Technical browsing data
When a page is viewed, the server and hosting provider may process the technical information required to deliver, secure and diagnose the website. This may include the IP address, date and time, requested resource, browser type, operating system and response status.
This information is used only to operate the website, detect errors, prevent abuse and protect the infrastructure.
Audience measurement with GX Analytics
GX Code uses GX Analytics to understand general website usage and improve its content. Depending on the active configuration, the following data may be processed:
- the path of the viewed page, without URL query parameters or fragments;
- the referring website domain, without retaining the complete referring URL;
- date, time, viewing duration and live presence status;
- language, time zone, screen category and dimensions;
- device type, browser and operating system;
- country, region or city estimated from the network address, without GPS geolocation.
The raw IP address is not stored in the analytics database. It is used temporarily by the server and then masked. In daily measurement mode, it may be combined with broad technical information to generate an anonymous identifier that changes every day. In strict mode, no visitor identifier is calculated.
Data not collected by GX Analytics
GX Analytics does not read form contents, passwords, keystrokes, entered email addresses, phone numbers, selected text or private page content. It does not create advertising profiles, and audience data is neither sold nor used for targeted advertising.
Contacting GX Code
When you write to init@gx-code.ch, GX Code processes your email address, information included in your signature and the content of your message in order to respond and follow up on the exchange.
Please do not send sensitive information that is not necessary for handling your request.
Purposes of processing
- display, maintain and secure the website;
- measure audience and understand general page usage;
- improve content, usability and performance;
- respond to received messages and requests;
- prevent abuse, diagnose errors and protect the infrastructure.
Cookies and local storage
The GX Analytics tracker installed on gx-code.ch does not use advertising cookies or local storage to recognise visitors. GX Analytics does not place profiling or targeted-advertising cookies.
Strictly technical website features may locally remember an interface preference, such as language or theme, without creating an advertising profile.
Hosting and recipients
The website and GX Analytics are mainly hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias (GE), Switzerland.
Data is accessible only to GX Code and technical providers that need to process it to provide hosting, email, security or maintenance. It is not disclosed to advertising networks.
International transfers
Primary hosting is located in Switzerland. GX Code does not intentionally transfer audience statistics abroad for commercial purposes. Internet communications or technical services used for correspondence may nevertheless involve infrastructure located in other countries. Where necessary, GX Code seeks to use appropriate safeguards.
Retention periods
- GX Analytics audience events are retained for no more than 90 days;
- live presence information is deleted after a short period of inactivity;
- technical logs are retained for a limited period required for security and diagnostics;
- received messages are retained for as long as needed to handle the request and provide reasonable follow-up.
Security
GX Code applies technical and organisational measures intended to limit unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure of data. No Internet-connected system can, however, be guaranteed to be entirely risk-free.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request information about personal data concerning you, its correction or deletion. You may also object to certain processing where the legal requirements are met.
Requests must be sent to init@gx-code.ch. Identity verification may be requested to avoid disclosing information to an unauthorised person.
External links
gx-code.ch may contain links to third-party websites. The privacy practices of those services are governed by their own policies and are outside GX Code’s control.
Updates
This policy may be updated when the website, GX Analytics or applicable requirements change.
